Abstract

L'invention concerne la protection des métaux contre la corrosion. Le procédé faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type consistant à effectuer une polarisation anodique de ladite structure en faisant circuler periodiquement un courant de polarisation entre une électrode auxiliaire 6 formant cathode et la structure 1 à protéger, de façon à maintenir le potentiel électrique de celle-ci dans une plage prédéterminée, et est caractérisé en ce que, dans les intervalles pendant lesquels le courant de polarisation est coupé, on court-circuite l'électrode auxiliaire 6 sur la structure 1 à protéger. L'invention s'applique notamment à la protection contre la corrosion des appareils employés dans les industries chimique, alimentaire, textile, de la cellulose et du papier.
