Abstract
A pipe, contg. a flow-rate measurement section, has a pocket which passes through its wall and is closed at the end inside the pipe. The axis of the pocket, where it passes through the wall, is inclined to that of the pipe. The closed end section is coaxial with, or parallel to the axis of, the pipe. A Foucault current flow-meter, placed in the coaxial end section, is carried on the end of a manipulation tube, which has a flexible section and which emerges from the pipe to the exterior. There may be several pockets passing through the pipe wall, with axes inclined to that of the pipe, and closed ends distributed symmetrically on a circle in the pipe section and contg. flow-meters.
