Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of Pitot tube insertion upon a flowing field by rotating a 1-hole Pitot tube, measuring pressures and angles successively and obtaining the information quantity equivalent to that of a 3-hole Pitot tube. CONSTITUTION:A circular cylindrical pressure receiving tube 6 provided with one piece of a pressure receiving hole 1 is coupled to a freely turnable cylindrical stanchion 2, thereby forming a 1-hole Pitot tube. The pressure of fluid flowing into the tube through this hole 1 is converted to an electric signal by a pressure converter 7 installed at one end in proximity to the hole 1 of the stanchion2, the detcted values such as maximum and minimum pressures, average pressure, two sets of rotating angles corresponding to the average pressure are stored in a storage arithmetic device 10 by way of a pressure amplifier 9, a rotating angle detector 11. At the same time, the velocity of flow, static pressure, flow angle, etc. are operated and determined based on the pressure coefft. and the like having beforehand been set and stored, whereby the information equivalent to that of a 3-hole Pitot tube is obtained. Hence, the influence of Pitot tube insertion upon the flowing field is reduced and the accurate flow measurement is accomplished.
