Abstract

L'invention concerne le durcissement des pastilles de minerai de fer. Elle se rapporte à un procédé dans lequel une zone périphérique du lit de pastilles crues porté par une grille circulaire d'un four est recouverte d'au moins deux capots, afin que de l'oxygène puisse traverser le lit de pastilles et puisse transformer la magnétite en hématite. Application à la préparation des pastilles de mimerai de fer utilisées comme charges des hauts fourneaux.
