Abstract

Mfg. method allowing serial utilisation of facing panels or prefabricated monolithic units of reinforced polyester or other thermosetting material, with a rough-cast, ribbed, granite-like, brick-like etc. appearance, is performed by casting the polyester mould on a core which has been coated with a plastic of hydraulic rough-coat according to the appearance desired, and treated to allow subsequent mfr. of the mould. The rough coat may be applied by hawk, roller, etc. For a granite-like appearance, rough-rendering of different colours is sprayed on. For a brick-like appearance, the mouls is painted in red or pale red with a mortar like gel-coat for the joints. For a matt appearance, a polyvinyl alcohol-type mould release agent is sprayed on.
