Abstract

Turbine mixer comprises a tank in which is placed a horizontal rotating disc, the periphery of which is provided with teeth which are alternately directed upwards and downwards relative to the disc. The top surface of the disc has fins placed almost radially but being slightly displaced at the end nearest the centre of the disc in the direction opposite to that of the rotation of the disc. The turbine, driven by a motor, is placed off-centre in the tank base. The mixer produces intimate and rapid mixing between a viscous material and a prod. of a different nature such as a liq. or a powder.
