Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil destiné à appliquer une encre à une feuille allongée d'un poste d'impression. Ledit appareil fait partie d'une imprimante à impulsions électriques utilisant une encre magnétique constituée de particules qui sont déposées sur un support mobile et soumises à un champ magnétique pour former un bourrelet desdites particules qui tourne au fur et à mesure que le support se déplace vers un poste d'impression. Un certain nombre des particules se détachent du bourrelet et restent sur le support sous forme d'agglomérats espacés de hauteur irrégulière. Un champ électrique de courte durée, qui est établi à la position d'impression entre les particules et une électrode d'impression conformée, charge les particules et les attire vers une feuille réceptrice intermédiaire. Application aux imprimantes sans percussion commandées par impulsions électriques.
