Abstract

The contact interrupter for telephone circuits provides a short clear period allowing selection of complementary lines. The interrupter circuit is designed to prevent other contact switching functions to inhibit the selection switching during the interrupt period. When the touch switch (T) is operated the capacitor (C1), charged via R1, excites the winding (F1) of a two winding relay. This opens the relay contact (f). (e2) then charges via R2 until the switching voltage of the unlatching diode (D1) is reached, then C2 discharges via the second relay winding (F2). This closes the relay contact (f). The period taken determines the time of interruption, and depends directly on the values R2,e2.
