Abstract

L'invention concerne une installation et un procédé pour la mesure et le contrôle séquentiels de traces de Hg contenues dans un gaz. L'installation comprend un circuit de circulation 1 de gaz sur lequel sont montés en série un piège 2 et un piège 3, le piège 2 servant de piège de prélèvement renfermant de laine d'or, le piège 3 servant de piège de mesure identique au piège 2 et situé en aval du piège 2. Les pièges 2 et 3 sont munis de moyens de chauffage 4, 6 et de moyens de refroidissement 5, 7, un appareil de mesure 38 tel qu'un spectrophotomètre détectant les traces de mercure contenues dans un gaz vecteur ayant traversé les pièges, des moyens d'étalonnage 54, une source de gaz vecteur 36. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'industrie de traitement de gaz naturel.
