Abstract

The combined electromechanical clamp is used on board aircraft for locking a box flap. The latter is opened automatically or manually on actuation of clamp. The box may hold oxygen generator and masks. The locking hook has two parts pivoted on common pin. The shorter part has the hook which is opened without moving the longer, rear part. When the rear part is rotated for opening then the hook is also opened. The hook is held in locked position by a spring which prevents opening by the rear part. The operating solenoid acts on an additional lever system.
