Abstract

The appts. is for the identification of the posts between which communication is established. Sinusoidal signals of predetermined frequency are generated by a unit. These are transmitted over each line of an exterior telephone network. The signals are applied to the network lines in cyclic manner by a distributor and interrupters. The exchange outputs are monitored in synchronous cyclic fashion and the signal routes determined in central unit.
