L'invention concerne un dispositif d'amplification d'un faisceau laser. Ce dispositif comporte notamment, sur un même axe, deux polariseurs 66, 72, deux rotateurs de Faraday 74, 83 entre ces polariseurs et deux empilages de disques 80, 82 inclinés à l'angle de Brewster et disposés entre ces rotateurs. Application à l'étude des plasmas denses et chauds.
