Abstract

The connector has sleeve contacts in a first insulating element, and corresponding plug contacts in a second insulating element. Each sleeve contact has an outer sleeve and a longitudinal insert with a radially movable element. It is operated by an operating element and can take an open position in which the corresponding plug can be easily inserted, and a clamped position in which the movable element is pressed to the plug. This position is reached at the end of a plug insertion movement. The movable element (12) has a boss (21) projecting outward to the outer sleeve (13) which has an opening (25) for this boss (21).
