Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour l'échange d'isotopes de l'hydrogène entre de l'eau et de l'hydrogène gazeux. Le procédé selon la présente invention utilise au moins une zone à température élevée et au moins une zone à basse température pour la mise en contact de l'hydrogène gazeux et de l'eau et est caractérisé en ce que : a. l'échange des isotopes dans la zone à température élevée peut être effectué au voisinage de la pression atmosphérique tandis qu'on maintient tous les corps en réaction dans la phase gazeuse de manière que l'on puisse spécifier un large choix de catalyseurs qui dans ces conditions ont une vie opératoire assez longue; ou il peut être effectué; b. à des pressions relativement basses tandis qu'on maintient l'eau dans la phase liquide Application à l'échange de tritium entre l'eau et l'hydrogène gazeux.
