Abstract

A device is used for ensuring correct functioning of a carburettor is an internal combustion engine. It includes a system for measuring the fuel flow rate in the carburettor fuel supply conduit. The air diffusion element of the carburettor has a take off point from which air flow measurement takes place. A carburettor performance indicator (9) is located in the carburation path and presents a variable diaphragm (5) which dilutes in accordance with desired fuel flow regulated by the carburettor butterfly valve to control engine speed.
