Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet une pompe centrifuge. Elle est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un carter présentant une chambre de pompage de forme cylindrique ayant une entrée et une sortie, un rotor de forme cilculaire disposé dans la chambre en rotation autour d'un axe coïncidant avec un axe longitudinal de la chambre, ledit rotor comportant un certain nombre d'aubes s'étendant sensiblement radialement et destinées à aspirer du liquide et de l'abrasif dans la chambre par l'entrée et à refouler ce mélange par la sortie, les dimensions du rotor et de la chambre de pompage etant telles qu'il existe un petit intervalle entre la périphérie du rotor et la paroi adjacente de la chambre ainsi qu'entre les ailes des aubes du rotor s'étendant radialement et les extrémités adjacentes de la chambre leur faisant face axialement Elle se rapporte aux pompes centrifuges à liquides et, en particulier, mais non exclusivement, aux pompes destinées à l'alimentation d'un mélange de particules abrasives dans un liquide.
