Abstract

A head rest for road vehicles which has a sheet steel cushion support of U section. The two branches of the U extend downwards and form the front and rear supports for the cushion. One of these surfaces (2, 3) has in the lower half a shoulder (8, 9). The shoulders are at the same height and the front one (8) is larger than the rear one (9). The zones (10, 12, 11, 13) are separated from the shoulders by a portion having an included angle between 90 and 120 degrees. The four zones are parallel, in the vertical plane. The assembly is pivoted on a tra transverse rod (18) carried on an almost vertical support (19).
