Abstract

The disc brake is provided with two brake pads (30A, B) attached to carrier plates (15A, B) and mounted on opposite sides of the brake disc (10). The brake pad carrier plate (31B) abuts against the adjustable stop (34B). The opposite carrier plate (31A) abuts against the edge (41) of the lever (40). The lever (40) is in the form of a rectangular frame with a hook (42) for attaching to the actuating mechanism. The inner edge (46) is forced against the fulcrum pin (44) by the spring (51). The outer edge (41) of the lever (40) forms a cam which exerts a force on the brake pad carrier (31A) when the lever (40) is rotated about the fulcrum pin (41).
