Abstract

The pressure correction unit is for a pressure-operated vehicle braking system, having a piston in a body working in conjunction with the double valve of a pressure reducer between inlet, outlet and exhaust ports. The valve also works with a tappet sliding axially in the body and whose axial position depends on a parameter such as the vehicle load. The piston has action and reaction sections subjected respectively to the pressure reducer inlet and outlet pressures. A flexible annular diaphragm forms a part of the reaction area varying dependent on the piston position. The correction unit has a supplementary annular action section for the piston, forming an annular balancing chamber permanently connected to the pressure reducer cutlet.
