Abstract

The safe sleeping bag (1) for infants is of simple form providing a degree of freedom for the infant but avoiding access by the infant to buckle fasteners (5, 6). The bag (1) may be strapped (3, 4) to a bed frame (2) with the strap fasteners (5, 6) locating beneath the frame, and has shoulder straps (12, 13) defining head (9) and arm openings (7, 8). The shoulder straps (12, 13) are secured (14, 15) on the underside of the bag and are, thus, not accessible to the infant. The bag anchor straps (3, 4) are fixed to the underside of the bag (1), form at least two buckle (5, 6)-closed loops, and can e adapted to fix the bag to a variety of supports. In addition to the top opening with shoulder straps the bag may inc. a side-opening with a sliding-clasp fasteners.
