Abstract

The electroluminescent diode signalling system uses a printed circuit. On this printed circuit are connected the electroluminescent diodes in the required arrangement. The printed circuit is connected to a transformer and this transformer is supplied with power at mains voltage. The electroluminescent diodes are connected in parallel to form groups. The number of diodes in each group is a function of the light intensity required and the groups of diodes are connected in series. The number of groups in series depends upon the supply voltage.
