Abstract

The tandem bottle conveyor has two parallel roller chains spaced apart and with overlapping links joined by pins passing through them and rollers. The pins have heads towards each other and between the two chains, and each oblong bottle-carrier between the chains has two sets of compartments accommodating the bottles, alongside each other. End pieces are mounted on the carriers, with recesses at intervals across them, the rearmost one being elongated in the direction of travel to allow chain tensioning. Each end piece fits between the overlapping chain link ends, and the pin heads fit in the recesses. Both they and the recesses are spaced apart for intervals less than the carrier width.
