Abstract

The starter motor has the lever that controls the axial starting displacement shaped like a hair pin (6') with the ends of its arms bent inwards by 90 deg. to face one another. A U-shaped bracket (44) has the ends of its arms bent outwards and upwards and provided with holes (47, 48). Shoes (42, 43) sit inside the small lateral use each side of the main U and have holes to accept the ends of the hairpin which pass through the holes in the arm ends. The shoes cooperate with the starter shaft whilst the other end of the lever is associated with the moving part of the contactor.
