Abstract

Portable pasteuriser for liqs., partic. for the liq. mixt. used for the prepn. of ice cream, is intended for use in conjunction with an ice cream freezer. It comprises a tank, with an outer envelope, which is covered with a thermal insulation layer. Electric resistance heaters are in contact with the walls of the tank. A lid is secured to the top of the tank by thumb-screws; these have an inclined plane which bears on the flange on the periphery of the tank. The lid carries an electric motor, fed by the flexible cable and the plug connector, and a stirrer. The liq. mixt., after pasteurisation, is passed to the freezer through the pipes and the tap for mfr. into ice cream. Mfr. and maintenance of the pasteuriser are extremely easy and economical; it can be used iwth any existing freezer or with a number of freezers in the same establishment.
