Abstract

The round alarm uptem has an alarm whose the electrical supply is controlled by a relay. This relay is energised via a normally open circuit. This circuit is closed by any one of a number of detectors. A timing circuit delays the actuation of the round alarm when a detector is triggered. This delay enables the legitimate user of the uptem to neutralise it by interrupting the supply to the alarm. Neutralisation is achieved by pressing out a predetermined combination of a keyboard (T1-T6) certain of the hep are classed as active and are contractors which are connected in series into a relay circuit. The last hey (T6) in the combination controls a relay (L3) whose contact interrupts the supply circuit to the round alarm.
