1,206,485. Time alarm signals. TOKYO TOKEI ZEIZO K.K. Dec. 2, 1967, No.54926/67. Heading G3T. An electric alarm apperatus includes a switch operable by a timepiece mechanism for actuating an electric alarm device and an electronic time delay device for controlling the duration of actuation of said alarm device. A movable contact 10 is normally held in engagement, with a contact 11 to maintain a capacitor C charged by a battery 6, but is movable to engage a contact 9, e. g. by the mechanism of an alarm clock, so that the capacitor C discharges through a variable resistor R and the base-emitter circiut of a transistor 1 to generate a current in a relay coil 4 to close contacts a, b thereby energizing an electric alarm device 7. The duration of the alarm signal is determined by the setting of the variable resistor R which controls the time during which the capacitor C is discharged sufficently to render the relay coil 4 ineffective.
