Abstract
The solar heating system uses heat collectors with a U-shaped base (1) with a set of semicircular grooves (2) along its base, each groove having a reflective aluminium layer. These face upwards to a transparent sheet (6) supported by the sides of the base. Inside each groove is a tube (5) for circulating a heat collector fluid. This tube can be an extruder tube or may have copper ribs. These tubes are positioned 7/12 of the radius of the grooves, inside the grooves, corresponding to the focal point of the reflected rays of the sun. The grooves are aligned in an east/west direction, and the collectors are held at an angle depending on the latitude of the location of the system.
