Abstract

The optical document reader uses a row of photodetectors (8), a light source (4) and means supplying sampling pulses for the row of photodetectors (8), with an analogue/digital conveter (9) for the video signal. An inertial accelerometer (1) and two integrators (2, 3) used to provide the sampling pulses, supplied to a signal processing circuit (14) for cyclic sampling of the video output signals from the photodetectors (8). Pref. channel switching means (12, 13) are controlled by the signal processing circuit (14) for modifying the sampling cycle for the row of photodetectors (8).
