Abstract
A radioelectrical signal coupler is used in bidirectional communication. It can transmit signals over a wide frequency band between an fixed station and one or more mobile stations without radiation into the surrounding areas. It is in railway radio communications. The signal coupler comprises a coaxial cable (a) connected to the fixed station. The cable (a) has a longitudinal slot or inline perforations (b) along its length. The mobile station also has a coaxial cable (d) with either a longitudinal slot or in-line perforations. The two cables (a, d) are positioned with their slots facing each other (d) and with their centres separated by a given distance (e). Repeaters are located along the line (a) connected to the fixed stations. They compensate for any loss of signal.
