Abstract

The under turned edge of the semi-trailer coupling unit (1) is provided with an elongated opening (2) through which the coupling pull bar (3) extends. The coupling bar has a stop (4) which supports the against the coupling unit in the locked safe position. A cross bolt (5) prevents the pull bar from being lifted. The cross bolt is carried by three bearings (6, 7, 11). A stop (10) is formed on the cross bolt (5) between the two cross bolt bearers (6, 7). The two bearers (11, 16) have round borings to accommodate the cross bolt. The centre boring is elongated to allow the stop to pass through only after the cross bolt has been lifted. The cross bolt is kept in the rest position by its own weight.
