Abstract

The drum (1) of the chopper-harvester is mounted in the sides of a housing. On the drum (1) are discs (4) and blades (6). The backs (6a) of the blades (6) are positioned closer to the pivot axle (7) of the drum (1) than the cutting edges (6b) which rotate close to the floor of the housing. Ejector scoops (9) are fixed by means of brackets (9b) on the disc (5), and have ejector edges (9a) which rotate close to the floor of the housing. The blades (6) are arranged so that on one side the edges are trailing and on the other side they are leading. The cutting edges (6b) of the blades or impact bars and the outer ejector edges (9a) of the ejector scoops (9) are positioned at approximately the same distance fromt he drum's pivot axle.
