Abstract

A paper roll (4) used for cleaning purposes, particularly for installation in a kitchen, is supported inside a housing (2) in the form of a plastics moulding. The housing has a slot (6) across the bottom through which the paper is withdrawn. A ridge (8) incorporates on the side of the slot towards the use, slopes away from the user, and forms a cutting edge so that any required length can be torn off. The ridge conceals the torn edge of the paper, and makes it easy to grip the edge with the fingers.
