Abstract

Power supplies derived from a horizontal sweep deflector circuit in a colour TV receiver permit the use of small capacitors for filtering and decoupling because of the high operating frequency. High quality ferrite and tuning of the circuit ensures high efficiency with very low power consumption and small size. Multilayer windings are arranged one on top of another and side by side on a ferrite cord which is divided into four areas. The winding provide vertical and horizontal sweep coils for semiconductor components with appropriate impedances. The auto correcting convergence deflector for the three beams of a colour tube also act as a voltage and current conversion circuit and is built into the same block as other circuits for the receiver.
