Abstract

The blowing coil is connected in parallel with one of the contact pairs. The two contact pairs (50,60; 72,74) are connected in series, and they consist of rings coaxial with the coil (78), so that the magnetic field generated by the coil extends radially in each gap, causing rotation of the arcs between the open contacts. The casing of the circuit breaker system is filled with SF6 and all openings are sealed. The switch elements may be moved by means of springs.
