Abstract

Numerical control by key number in which each number, A, having n decimal figures (An,---Ai ---A1) is associated with a key number Q. The key number is obtained from the number A by a calculation which includes three stages. The number system has a principal input to which are successively applied all the figures Ai of the number A and the figures of the key number Q. These figure being coded in BCD. A transcoding device whose input is connected to the principal input produces from the figures An- -Ai figure A1 and from the numbers bn---bi figure b1 also binary coded. The transcoder supplies from the coded number q the number d1=p-Q1(q) modulo p, Q1 being the invene operator of Q. A pulse generator controlled by the signals obtained at the output of the transcoder, delivers for each number bi applied, a train of pulses whose number is equal to the number bi.
