Abstract

The machine prints the time and date on weekly transport tickets, this information being placed in a different predetermined position each time the ticket is used. The ticket has a centrally printed magnetic coding strip, the stamp being printed each side. After magnetic checking, the ticket (1) passes between drive rollers (13, 14) linked to a perforated disc (37). This provides synchronising signals, by photoelectric cell (38) to a stepping motor driving the printing rolls (7, 8). The impulse release a latch (30 to 34) on the drum and, after a delay (35), the rolls rotate to meet the ticket and print the information (20, 21). The ticket is ejected by further rollers (15, 16, 17, 18).
