Abstract
The surf board is made from two laminated and impregnated fibre halves (5, 8), each preformed and laid together in a combined assembly and curing mould. The edges (11, 12) are joined by means of preformed bridging strips (15), adhesive bands (13) being placed between. The upper half has a foam plastic inner lining (4) forming a double thickness. The lower half is provided with ribbing. A main rib (10) is inserted between both halves, contacting both on the inner faces. This rib runs longitudinally and side ribs (9) run obliquely rearwards to provide stiffening. After curing in the mould, the assembly is removed and the outer surfaces finished.
