Abstract

Offset plates carrying a text and >=1 photograph are made in a single exposure process. A copy text is produced with cut out spaces where the photographs are to be. A multi sheet template provided with corresp. cut out spaces, is fixed to the test and a transparent film is attached to the last sheet in the template. The photographs are attached to the transparent film in register with the spaces provided in the text. A light sensitive screen is inserted between the last and next to last sheets of the template and the ensemble is placed against the sensitive face of a paper negative material and exposed for the required time. The negative is associated with an offset printing plate and placed in a developer bath to give an offset plate carrying the text and the screened photograph. The process allows prodn. of mixed text/photograph printing plates with a single exposure operation.
