Abstract

The polymers pref. comprises 69.3-98.8 (80.1-96.6) wt. % chloroprene (I), 20.1-1, (13.4-2.9) wt. % 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene (II) and 10.6-0.2 (6.5-0.5) wt. % 1-chlorobutadiene (III). The polymers have a Mooney viscosity of 10-140, (30-120). (II)+(III) result in a much lower crystallisation speed of the polymer than when (II) and (III) are used on their own as comonomers. The low temp. stability of the polymer is improved without adverse effects on the mechanical props. of vulcanisates.
