Abstract

The power shower is designed for a fixed arrangement and is primarily intended for showering in connection with a sauna. It consists of a connection pipe element (4) and a further hollow body (1) with a rectangularly slot-shaped outlet opening (3). Leading to the side edges of the outlet opening (3) are side walls, which diverge by 50 to 60 DEG and which, in the vicinity of each outlet opening (3), have a divergence angle ( gamma 2) reduced by approximately one third. The upper wall and the lower wall (6 and 7, respectively) of the hollow body (1) converge in the direction of the outlet opening and define, between their planes (15/10) fixed by their end edges (11, 12), a median plane (9) which forms an angle of 125 to 150 DEG to the axis (8) of the connection pipe element (4). With the connection pipe element (4) secured, its axis (8) normally extends horizontally. In order to achieve a good, sheet-like jet of water, the inner surface (14, 16) of the lower hollow body wall (7) is provided, approximately over half its length, with an inwardly directed bend (13) extending parallel to the longitudinal edges of the outlet opening (3). Downstream of the bend (13), the lower hollow body wall (7) extends parallel to the median plane (9).
