Abstract

The oscillating transmission arrangement gives good sealing. Movement is produced by means of a rack fitted at the end of two parallel rods, so reduction weight. The rack meshes with a pinion (1) and is fitted on a screwed rod (4). The rod is surrounded by a flexible and impermeable sleeve. One end of this is solid with the rod and the other end with a housing in the rod operates. The sleeve is in the form of a corrugated bellows (5) with the corrugations at right angles to the axis of the rod.
