Abstract

The window is mounted in an old wooden frame already fitted in the wall, and is of profiled aluminium or plastic sections, its glass frame being fixed by angle strips to the inside of the old wooden frame. The window has frame strips secured by locking components to the angle strips, so as to form with the old wooden frame a fresh air inlet at the bottom and a stale air outlet at the top. One or more additional window-panes are secured to the angle strips at a distance sufficient to damp out noise from the pane attached to the light frame.
