Abstract

The photographic material to be developed (26) is brought into the tank by means of transporting bands (11) to which a number of rollers (19) are assigned. The latter are evenly distributed over the entire transporting system. The shaft butts (20) are loosely mounted in grooves (23). These grooves serve as guiding slits and are positioned at an angle of about 45 degrees. At rest, the outer surfaces (24) of the rollers (19) lie closely on the outer surfaces (25) of the transporting bands (11). The introduction of the developing solutions parts these surfaces by virtue of their own pressure and the angle of inclination of the grooves. A spring system provides the correct tensioning for accurate and economical spread of solutions.
