Abstract

The prefabricated floor section is heat- and fire-resistant and isophonic, being secured to an adjacent component, and comprising a hollow rectangular body of concrete and insulating materials. Inside the body are a number of lengthwise parallel cavities (2) alongside each other and formed by concrete partitions (4) except on the underside. Along each partition centre line between the cavities is a network of top, bottom and transverse primary metal reinforcing components. It has a flat top surface (1), and a lower one preferably in two layers (8, 9) closing off the cavities. The layers comprise insulating panels (8) covered by plaster (9) to give a smooth finished surface. Each section is joined to the adjacent one by a connector halfway along its length.
