Abstract

The grouser is for wheeled or tracked vehicles, increasing their mobility on soft ground. It increases the supporting surface without increasing the amount of earth displaced. It can be fitted to existing machines, a cleaner being provided for regular disposal of earth accumulated at the level of the wheels, and the housing. The grouser is mounted above the level of the main part of the crawler track itself, so that it does not touch the ground at all when this is hard and dry.
