Abstract

The milling machine cutter axis is offset from the cutter head axis. Head rotation and locking sets the cutter in four positions. A small dia. cutter mills with deep reach, with side (1) clearance admiting a large quill. The projecting cutter spindle is axially parallel with its head axis (3). The square sectioned head aligns with a similarly wide quill, with four angular cutter settings (4a, b, c, d). The quill and head side faces are flush when the head is locked in position.
