Abstract

The view is used to provide an enlarged image of a film slide, or for 8 mm or 16 mm cine film. The projection objective (2) is associated with a mirrored pyramid-shaped prism (1), with its summit aligned with the centre of the objective (2). The base of the prism (1) is pref square, with its summit facing the centre of the objective (2), so that the image of the slide etc (3) is divided into four parts, each directed onto a mirror (5) facing one side of the prism (1). The partial images are reflected from the mirrors onto a depolarised glass screen (6), across the front of the viewer, with an internal light source (4) at the back.
