Abstract
The service comprises a projector on whose output aperture is attached a plate (2) on which a periodic engraving is made, and a photosensitive plate (8), e.g. photographic apparatus, whose axis makes pref. the same angle (alpha) with the normal to the reference plane (7) as that made by the projector axes with the same normal. A purely optical projection of a first periodic structure is made into the object (4) and this image is superimposed onto the photosensitive plate (5) with that of another purely optical projection of the first or a second periodic structure onto either the object (4) or a reference plane (7). Moire fringes appear representing contour lines within the object (4).
