Abstract

The system uses a length of cine film or a video recording obtained by placing the object on a rotating turntable so that it faces towards the camera with the rotation of the turntable synchronised with the camera exposure rate. One complete turntable rotation corresponds to 1080 exposures, each image projected via a laser beam (24) onto a high definition film via a lens system (9, 10) including a holographic window (8). The high definition film also receives a reference laser beam (25) and it is displaced for each successive image by an angle equivalent to the displacement of the subject, to obtain a cylinder comprising 1080 hologram bands.
