Abstract

A device for overlaying layers of textile web on a table includes a carriage which supports two supply rolls of textile web so that as the webs are fed from the supply rolls they are layered on top of each other as the carriage moves along the table. One of the rolls is mounted on a support which is moveable transversely of the direction in which the web is fed from the roll (I). The ability to move one of the rolls (I) transversely of the feed direction of the web enables the edges of web layers to be correctly aligned as the carriage moves along the table.
